Due to the pandemic, we are not conducting on-site training; however, we are authorized to offer the CBRF training virtually! Participants who pass the course/meet the requirements will be added to the registry. Please contact us for more information regarding getting your employees trained virtually! Costs for the virtual trainings vary from what is listed below for the on-site training offerings.
We come to your facility! We travel all over Wisconsin training caregivers in Community Based Residential Facilities and Adult Family Homes. We are dedicated to providing you with quality services and the needed training to work in these facilities. Please note that there is a four participant minimum required for Monroe County facilities and a six participant minimum required for all other counties in Wisconsin.
If you are interested in our on-site training, please contact us. Monroe County facilities receive a 10% discount for eight or more participants and 20% for 12 or more participants. All other counties (under 100 miles away) receive a 10% discount for 12 or more participants. Contact us for information on more discounts available! (Please note that counties over 80 miles one-way incur a small mileage fee.)
In addition to a final exam, this course will also provide hands-on training with fire extinguishers. Fee for this class is $75 plus the $20 registry fee for each employee. Cost includes all class materials. This training lasts 3 hours. Employees must be present for the entire class.
This training is designed to promote job satisfaction and retention among caregivers in long-term care. It encourages success, opportunity, advancement, and retention. Fee for this class is $50 per employee. This training lasts 3-4 hours.
In addition to a final exam, this course provides hands-on training on how to effectively wash hands and properly take off gloves. Fee for this class is $60 plus the $20 registry fee per employee. Cost includes all class materials . This training lasts 2 hours. Employees must be present for the entire class.
This course includes hands-on activities including how to stop bleeding and how to give back blows/abdominal thrusts. In addition to the hands-on activities, a final exam is required. Fee for this class is $95 plus the $20 registry fee per employee. Cost includes all class materials. This training lasts approximately 4 hours and depends on the number of employees in the class at the time. Employees must be present for the entire class.
This course teaches practical skills for safely managing and preventing difficult behavior. Participants will learn how to identify behaviors that could lead to a crisis, how to most effectively respond to each behavior to prevent the situation from escalating, how to use verbal and nonverbal techniques to defuse hostile behavior and resolve a crisis before it can become violent, how to assess risk levels and consider the issues that impact decision making, and how to use CPI's physical skills to avoid injury if behavior becomes physical. Fee for this class is $295 per person and lasts 10-12 hours (will be split between two days).
This course provides hands-on training with a variety of medication administration techniques. In addition to the hands-on training, a final exam is required. Fee for this class is $160 plus the $20 registry fee per employee. Cost includes all class materials. This training lasts 13 hours and will be split up between two days with lunch breaks resulting in 6 1/2 hour days (medication courses cannot be completed in one day). Employees must be present for the entire class.
